Delete your account in the app

• Open Dote → Us tab → Privacy & data → Delete account.
• You'll be offered a full export of your memories first. It's always free.
• Confirm, and your account is deleted. No email, call, or approval needed.

Can't open the app (lost phone, uninstalled)? Email support@dotelove.com from any address, tell us the display name you used, and we'll delete the account for you. A human reads it.

What gets deleted, and when

• Deleted: your account (the anonymous ID and any linked sign-in), your display name and timezone, your device push token, and every moment you own: photos, notes, drawings, moods, reactions, taps and countdowns, including the files in storage.
• The shared couple space follows the unpair rules: it's archived for a 30-day change-of-heart window (either partner can restore it by rejoining), then permanently deleted, photos included.

What we keep, and for how long

• After 30 days, none of your content. Your account, your moments and the couple space are gone for good. Delivery timing numbers (never content) and any safety reports are deleted with the couple they belong to.
• Purchase records. If you bought Dote Plus, Apple or Google and our subscription service RevenueCat keep the record of the purchase (product, price, date and store transaction ID) for tax, accounting and refunds, under their own rules. It contains no photos, notes or messages.
• Usage events and crash reports. Analytics events and crash reports are tied to your random account ID, not your name, and are kept for a limited time under each provider's retention settings. Ask us and we'll delete the ones linked to your ID.

Delete some data without deleting your account

• Any single moment can be deleted in the app (open the moment → ⋯ → Delete). It disappears from both partners' apps immediately and is permanently erased from our servers within 30 days.
• Unpairing (Us tab → Unpair) removes the shared space on the same 30-day schedule while your account itself remains.
• For anything else, like an export, a correction, or a specific erasure request, email support@dotelove.com.
